Creations of Courage is a sewing project of the YWCA Northcentral PA. For nearly 20 years, a small but mighty volunteer group of women have been creating purses, totes, wristlets, and many other fashion accessory items that help to empower, open a new path and transform lives. Their sewing is intended to be a way of bringing light, hope, and dignity back into the lives of those escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or homelessness.

It takes courage to change a life; and if our sewing provides the opportunity for each person to realize how wonderfully powerful they are and to bring to life the gifts that lie within them, we are proud to sew so they may write a new chapter”.

All proceeds from Creations of Courage are given to the services provided within the YWCA Northcentral PA. From immediate shelter needs to legal advocacy, and everything in between, each purchase of a Creations of Courage item directly impacts those served by the YWCA’s programs.
