YWCA Northcentral PA Homepage
The YWCA Northcentral PA is here to help with homelessness, domestic violence, sexual abuse and more. If you or someone you know need help, let them know we are here.

We’ve helped thousands of men, women and children since opening our doors in 1893. Fellow women who wanted to help younger women created a place to rest during lunch. Although women are still top priority, we have since opened our doors to men in need. This way, the whole community benefits from our programs.
Through fundraisers, exercise lessons and support groups, we have broadened our programs to help everyone. You can learn more about the history of the YWCA by clicking here.
We have gone through a few changes, including location, since opening our doors. But our mission remains the same: eliminating racism, empowering women. We have always tried our best to make the lives better of every individual who comes to us for assistance. Since we have opened our doors to men as well as women and children in need, our success numbers have grown.
In addition to shelter, we assist clients with parenting tips, physical needs and lots of encouragement. The advocates and counselors work one-on-one with every client to form a plan of action. We especially want to ensure safety to every individual. Wise Options and Liberty House employees work to make sure clients are getting the resources they need. Ultimately, with our resources, everyone will be able to live safely on their own when they leave the YWCA.
Our programs guide clients with creating their goals to live a life free of violence. With your help of donations, we will continue to fight back against homelessness and violence. We can make our community a safer place to live.
Therefore, with your help, we will continue to assist those who need it and change lives for the better. As a result, many of our clients have found peace and happiness again, which is something that everyone deserves. Help our clients find strength and happiness again by donating today!
