The YWCA Northcentral PA's Prevention Programs provide students and school staff with information about various forms of abuse & violence, change how youth think and feel about sensitive topics and enhance interpersonal and emotional skills.

The YWCA Prevention Education team is dedicated to ensuring schools in Lycoming County are provided with effective prevention and education sessions for grades K-12.

Our prevention education does not stop there - we can offer and develop programming for K-12 students to supplement their social emotional learning, relationship development, or to respond to complaints or concerns about student culture and behaviors.

We can present engaging sessions in school, after-school programs, and community groups on topics such as:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Prevention
  • Sexual Assault, Abuse & Consent
  • Identifying and Negotiating Boundaries
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Bystander Intervention
  • Domestic Violence 101
  • Teen Dating Violence
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Needs to your specific school or program

The YWCA Northcentral PA is committed to serving the community and providing education to youth and young adults that are looking to learn about domestic violence and resources for prevention. We pride ourselves on the ability to meet the specific needs and requests of groups or organizations to provide or assist in developing various education and prevention programs.
