E-news, or electronic newsletter, is an electronic form of communication. The YWCA has taken to informing the community about our products and services. But we aren’t advertising products for you to purchase. Rather, we want to tell you what’s going on at the YWCA in Williamsport!
The YWCA Northcentral PA have done amazing things for our community throughout the years. From helping working women juggle work and families to forming clubs and sports teams for young girls, they have had great accomplishments. Because of this organization, community members are given hope.
Currently, there are two big programs at the YWCA: Liberty House and Wise Options. Briefly, Wise Options staff help victims of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse. Liberty House is housing for those suffering from homelessness. With both programs, YWCA employees work with each individual to create a list of obtainable goals and a plan specifically for their needs.
While we do encourage donations, we really just want to tell you about the happenings at the YWCA through our e-newsletter.
When one of our clients feels good enough to move out, we want to share that. It makes us feel good that we were able to help another individual. By providing them with resources to live safely on their own, we like to share their accomplishments.
If someone makes a generous donation, we want to share that. Whether it is money or sanitary items like shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and lotions, doesn’t matter. Our community members have helped the residents of the YWCA in so many ways and we think they deserve some recognition, too.
Let Us Know What You Want to See in our e-news
We will also gladly take suggestions. If there is a certain story or event you would like to see in our e-news, please let us know and we’ll get it out!
***We do not send a lot of these newsletters. It averages about one per month, unless we have some big events coming up and we want to share them with you.***
