Q: What donations do you accept at The Boutique?
A: YWCA Boutique graciously accepts donations of women’s, children’s, and men’s clothing and accessories – like shoes, jewelry, handbags, and scarves. We carry clothing for casual, work, and formal occasions and accept all seasonal items all throughout the year.
Q: What about housewares?
A: The Boutique typically does not sell housewares. However, those like-new or gently used items can be donated to support individuals leaving our shelters and moving into their own place.
Q: When can I bring donations to the YWCA Boutique?
A:Donations can be brought to the YWCA Monday-Friday 9am- 4pm or during Boutique store hours.
If you have a large donation, please feel free to call and request someone meet you at our driveway door to assist with unloading your vehicle. You can arrange this by calling (570)322-4637 EXT. 100
Q: Can I get a receipt?
A: Absolutely! All donations made to the YWCA Northcentral PA and The Boutique are tax deductible and we will gladly provide you with a receipt.
Q: How is my donation used by the YWCA?
A: All items donated to The Boutique generate a much-needed revenue stream for the YWCA that directly impacts those served through YWCA programming. Any items we cannot sell are donated to other area non-profits that sell or recycle items to support the tireless work of their organizations.
