Our Programs at the YWCA
There are two main programs at the YWCA: Wise Options and Liberty House. These programs have helped hundreds of individuals overcome addiction and homelessness, find safety within our walls, and support groups. We continue to help Lycoming County community members find health, peace, and safety.
Wise Options Program
Wise Options help men, women and and women with children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault or other violent crimes. These services are free and confidential to those who contact us. They are also available 24/7 with advocates available to answer questions that may come in.
Our trained staff and volunteers help provide immediate help to clients experiencing crisis. Wise Options is not only an emergency shelter for victims of abuse to escape violence, it also provides legal services, counseling and support groups.
Liberty House is just as important. It helps individuals experiencing homelessness due to addiction in our area. The program helps each individual to their specific needs and makes living on their own possible.
Each of these programs help our community members in many ways. Therefore, each program is a vital part of the YWCA Northcentral PA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women.

Client Success Stories
Although our clients sign a contract of confidentiality, there are some that like to share their success stories with you. If you would like to learn more about some of the clients that come through the doors of the YWCA, click here.
