Another Successful 5k

Thank you to all of the runners, Unityfest participants and volunteers who came to our fifth annual Race Against Racism 5k on June 9!

A special shout out goes to our Girls First students for helping direct racers on the course.

Photos of the event will be posted on our Facebook page soon.

About Unity Fest:

The goal of the YWCA’s Unity Fest is to promote peace and openness by providing a safe place to be together. The YWCA believes that just by being together and sharing information in one location, we foster dialogue, diminish prejudice and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

About the route:

Runners will begin in front of the band shell in Brandon Park and make their way to Wyoming Street; take Wyoming straight to Almond Street, following it to Lincoln Ave; take Lincoln straight to Packer Street; and end by taking Packer into and around the park to end at the band shell.
