Raise the Region is a community-wide event that brings over 200 nonprofit organizations together to raise money. This online event will take place for only 30 hours and we’re excited to see the community come together and help us out!
The money that the YWCA brings in during this event will go towards empowering the women that have asked for help. Your donations allow them to live at the YWCA while they work on making a better life for themselves and their families. Many of the women here have children who depend on your donations to help them with clothes, food and shelter.
From 6pm March 11 to 11:59 March 12, donations can be made at the Raise the Region website here.
The YWCA is hosting their 9th Biennial Charity Gala this year! This event is a fundraiser to raise money for the clients who seek help and shelter at the YWCA. The clients of Wise Options and Liberty House rely on your donations to support them while they work on bettering themselves and their families. The biggest fundraising event of the YWCA will be at 6pm on Friday, April 3 at the Benjamin Ballroom in Williamsport. Dinner and drinks are included in the price of the entrance ticket.
Throughout the night, there will be a silent auction, live auction, raffles, and a paddle raise. The gala committee worked quite hard to get many of their packages donated this year.

- Brunch Buffet for 30 people

This is not the complete list of items that will be auctioned off at the Gala. There are also quite a few gift certificates for various amounts from local businesses in the area that will be auctioned off as well as raffled prizes.
The paddle raise is for anyone who does not wish to bid on items but would prefer to simple donate outright to the YWCA clients.
We will also be trying something new this year for those who want to give something. What is called a “wishboard,” small squares line the board with a number from 1-100. To buy a card means you’ll give the amount that the card states. Super easy and the money raised will go to one specific thing that our residents need (currently in the process of being decided).
