October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Every October, our YWCA dedicates efforts to raising awareness surrounding the devastating impacts of Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence Awareness Month provides multiple ways to unite individuals and organizations working to prevent and end domestic violence across the country. It is a hard truth that there are countless people – victims and survivors, their children and families, their friends and their communities -impacted by domestic violence all over our nation.

We, all of us, should not stop until society has zero-tolerance for domestic violence and until all victims and survivors can be heard.

“Remember My Name” is a way the YWCA honors the lives lost at the hands of violence, here in Lycoming County.
