Hannah and her youngest son Oli just celebrated his best birthday yet! Your support for the YWCA Northcentral PA made it possible for Oli to have his birthday party here in our gym with all his friends.
Hannah’s heart was full because this was the first birthday they got to spend together since she gained full custody of him after completing a rehab program this winter.. Seeing him so happy made her thankful for the Liberty House staff that helped her get to this joyful moment.
“She has really come a long way in such a short time,” said Nina Blair, Liberty House case manager.
Before that Hannah experienced multiple abusive relationships which led her to using drugs to cope with the pain from those relationships. Her addiction led her to spending time in jail and rehab where she learned about Liberty House.
Staying at the YWCA has given her the opportunity to get on track to accomplishing her deepest ambitions.
Hannah wants to get a full time job, get full custody of her oldest son and buy a house where her two sons can live together as one happy family.
“I am very proud of the woman Hannah is becoming,” Nina said. “Even with the many setbacks she has had, she still continues on doing what she needs to gain a fresh start at life.
She is a woman that goes above and beyond in all circumstances. Liberty House has helped her to believe in herself and to find her self-worth.”
