Application for Residency

Apply to Liberty House

The Liberty House program requires participants to complete an application and interview before acceptance. To be considered, applicants must be residents of Lycoming County. Liberty House staff will then review the application and schedule an interview if the program requirements are met. Acceptance may be granted based on compliance of Liberty House's rules, regulations and the amount of space available. Liberty House program participants must have a valid form of photo I.D. and must be able to function independently in a shared living environment. For admittance into the program, applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum length of stay is 24 months.

There is a service fee involved, based upon individual income and family size. A portion of this fee will be set aside and placed in a savings program to be maintained by the participant. This service is designed to provide a solid foundation for independent living, offering an opportunity for personal success.

All program participants are required to attend counseling and life skills education workshops and parents must attend parenting classes. It is through these courses that personal goals will be cultivated and honed for each individual's needs.

The YWCA is a drug and alcohol free site, and the use of these will result in immediate consequences.
