Each successful YWCA throughout the country offers one of two things: child care or a second-hand clothing store. The staff and volunteers of YWCA Northcentral PA looked at our resources and our incredible building. The answer was obvious.
The Boutique opened in June 2013. Every cent raised through sales in The Boutique will be used to continue to provide safety, shelter and support through Wise Options, Liberty House and our Community Education programs. Additionally, any woman who comes into a YWCA program will be able to get any clothing they may need, free of charge, from The Boutique so any donation of clothing will serve a two-fold purpose.
Want to Donate?
Donations are accepted at the YWCA front desk Monday-Friday from 8 am - 5:30 or during the Boutique hours (including Saturday morning from 9 am - 1 pm).
We accept donations of women's, children's and men's clothing, accessories, jewelry and small home goods (like photo frames and vases). We are unable to sell bedding, pillows, blankets or large home goods.
And item that is donated to The Boutique that is unable to be used by us will be picked up by other area nonprofits to be used in their stores or recycled for profit to support their life-saving and changing programs.
