The YWCA is the oldest and largest women's membership movement in the United States. Three hundred and twelve YWCAs operate across the country, representing two million women, girls, and their families.

Since its inception in 1893, the YWCA has been developing services and programs to allow women and their families to live with dignity and peace.

Our Mission

YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

The movement's mission, to empower women and girls and to eliminate racism, is the guiding principle for all YWCA shelter, health, fitness, and social justice programs.
